Place-Based Design

Produced high-visibility NYC condo building guides for Homes.com, a platform reaching 111M+ monthly users. The initiative combined longform editorial storytelling with structured digital content experiences, integrating architecture, neighborhood profiles, maps, market insights, and multimedia assets into cohesive, consumer-facing pages.

Beyond Listings

Traditional real estate content often prioritizes listings and amenities over the broader experience of place. These guides aimed to create more elevated, design-forward storytelling that balanced editorial depth with clarity, usability, and digital readability within a large-scale product ecosystem.

Editorial Strategy

As Residential Writer & Deputy Editor, I researched, reported, and wrote condo building features and neighborhood profiles focused on architecture, urban culture, and the built environment. I conducted interviews with Realtors, NYC real estate experts, historians, and local stakeholders, while collaborating cross-functionally with editorial, design, photo, video, and production teams.

Although I was not directly responsible for UX design decisions, I contributed to the broader content experience by shaping how editorial storytelling integrated within the larger digital environment.

Designing Clarity

The work involved organizing complex architectural, historical, and neighborhood information into content that felt engaging, digestible, and easy to navigate. I focused on:

creating clear narrative flow and hierarchy
simplifying dense information for broad audiences
balancing editorial depth with scanability
aligning content cohesively with surrounding product modules and multimedia assets

AI-assisted tools supported portions of the editorial workflow, including research synthesis and drafting efficiency, while human editorial judgment remained essential for nuance, tone, contextual accuracy, and quality control.
